Well, I'm back.
The title of this post is the last line from The Lord of the Rings, spoken by Samwise Gamgee after all of his grand adventures are through and he has returned to the Shire. I don't know that I've had adventures as grand as Samwise, but there does seem to be this and that going on around here--enough that it's kept me away from blogging for awhile.
Honestly, I spent a good while contemplating not blogging. My introverted nature doesn't lend itself easily to the exposure that the world wide web commands and demands. But during my more contemplative moments, I've realized that the best thing blogging has given me is a greater connectedness to people whom I love. It's opened the door to connections with friends--both old and new--and kept me in touch with my extended family (possibly, I might just have the best extended family in the world. You'd probably be jealous, but if you're reading this blog, you're likely a member of my extended family anyway, and you agree with my statement). I miss that connectedness more than I like being an introvert.
And so, I'm back in the big blogging world.
Get ready for some good times.
